Suprise no link for you

In this article I will be talking about the nofollow tag that seems to
be on a lot of blogs. I will describe what it is for and why your links
are not showing in Google and maybe in other engines like Yahoo and Bing
. I also like to mention how to make you blog dofollow so other people
can get links from the search engine. Also I will point out how you can
still benefit from blogs that have the nofollow tag.

Nofollow is a tag used mostly to discourage spam comments I guess no link from the search engine no spam was there thinking when they created this tag. It also took away the benefit of getting a link to those that actually contribute to the blog if that was the users goal. It can use used manually By adding it to the permalink in the back admin area or by plug in. I don’t know how other blog have it since I never had it on mine since the beginning.

I looked at many such blogs that have this and it shows a rel = external nofollow in there code. I heard there are at least 2 nofollows one follows the link but does nothing with it and the other one ignores the link entirely. If it has either one you are not getting any link juice from posting there. So how can you tell who has the tag and who does not there is a plug for firefox called searchstatus you can install that will highlight where the tag is at, you just right click and check highlight nofollow links and it will highlight them for you on every place you visit.

If you wish to make your blog a dofollow site. You can do a search for a wordpress plug-in called Dofollow or just type in Dofollow and it will show all the plugins for that. Choose the best one for you. Install it, and activate it, it should take everything it’s self without any editing or settings. Now you must get another plugin called Akismet to take care of the spam it is free for 1 blog only. you have to register it to get a key. I highly recommend this plugin it has taken care of the spam for me and there has been no spam ever since.

If you find a blog that has the nofollow tag on there is still a use for it. You will not get Link juice for it. But it is still possible to get traffic from these. Comment and leave your link someone may decide to click on it which can add up to more traffic.
